The OSHA construction regulation, 29 CFR 1926, covers a very wide range of work activities that include mechanical, electrical, asbestos and lead abatement, steel erection, cranes, diving, trenching, power transmission, masonry and concrete, and demolition. Although there are standards that apply to a narrow range of work activities such as diving and blasting, there are still many those have broad application to all construction firms. These are recordkeeping, personal protection, training, small tools, electrical, LOTO, confined space, welding and fall protection. Those workers that may have exposure to asbestos and lead should receive training. |
